Burgoynes Cove - USAF RB-36H Crash Site

Across Newfoundland, crash sites like this are all too common. Unpredictable weather and extremely dense fog creates dangerous flying conditions, in which many experienced pilots find themselves straying off course. This B-36 was part of a mission in 1953 to test North America’s defence systems, which tragically went wrong with all 23 men on board perishing in the crash.
